Well Ray , It's been 3 weeks now. I am hitting it longer. Some trouble with the duck hook if I don't wait for it. As you explained, timing. I went to a 11.5 driver instead of 9.5 that I had. More control and lot more carry. Can't do much with this wet ground we have here in Louisville now. But when it's drys out, look out. Thanks, I'll keep you posted. ( 7 handicap now )

Hi Ray, I wanted to write and thank you for your program. I have seen my best drives pick up about 25 yards, with my average creeping up about 20 yards from 220 to 240. I paced off my best ever at 269 yards in the middle of the fairway just yesterday, whereas my best on that same hole before June was probably about 235. |
Well, I've always taken a light view of advice about increasing my distance.But this was different. One thing that stuck out was I don't have to weight train.
I tried this before years ago. But it didn't work for me. This time, I had to realize that the weight training was not for a golf swing. So, I suddenly came to the realization that I have to be very careful doing the weight training. Practice in general has to be taken very carefully. Practice reinforces those good things you do. But, it also reinforces the bad things as well. Years ago, all I did was reinforce my bad swing more. This time being more careful, things went differently and in a very short time.
Anyway, only 3 days after starting your program I was able to drive the ball not so much further than I usually expected my drives to go, but far more accurately and all the time off the tee. That never happened before. 10 days after starting the program, I was able stay with my brother on drives even though he paid a pretty penny for a special driver. That sorta frosted him. heh heh ...
And on a downhill par 4, 357 yards long, I did manage a 300 yard drive to the center of the fairway. Now, I just have to get to do that on a flat fairway.
And since I'm getting great results with my $25 Olimar driver off ofeBay, I am now trying different high end drivers at a local driving range with amazing results.
