A note from the author:
Having trouble with your lawnmower, snow thrower, chain saw, or other gasoline powered machine? You've come to the right place. Whether you own a Craftsman riding lawnmower, a Murray push lawnmower, or an Ariens snow blower, they all have one thing in common; the gasoline-powered small engine that drives them.
My name is Ernie Chiaradonna. I was a Small Engine Repair Tech for years before I fixed my last lawnmower and retired. It didn't take long before I missed working on lawnmowers, snow blowers, chainsaws, and the like. Unfortunately my small engine repair shop was gone; I needed a new outlet. I began thinking about all the lawnmowers that came to my shop for repairs that the owners could have fixed themselves if they only knew what I know: the snow throwers that simply lacked good maintenance, and the chainsaws that just needed saw-dust cleaned from the filter. You see, it doesn't matter if it's a snow blower, a chainsaw, a lawnmower; or a log splitter, the gasoline-powered small engine is the heart of them all. I had found my outlet, I would put my years of repair knowledge into a book... so you would never have to pay for preventable lawn mower repairs again.
In 1996 Small Engine Tech Tips was born. It's a do-it-yourself guide to servicing the small engines that power lawn mowers, snow throwers, chainsaws, and other gasoline-powered machines. The book deals primarily with the small engine, because that's were most of the problems occur. Not only does Small Engine Tech Tips offer in-depth information on how lawn mower engines work, it also teaches you how to service and maintain them, how to trouble-shoot common problems, and how to perform simple repairs on lawnmower, snow thrower, and chainsaw engines. As an added bonus, I also share many of my personal tech tips to keep them running smoothly.
This is NOT a complicated technical manual. It was written with the novice and home handy-person in mind. It is written in easy to understand language accompanied by page after page of color illustrations.
So, whether you have a broken lawnmower, snowthrower, or chainsaw, or simply want to keep your machines in top working condition, Small Engine Tech Tips and Small Engine Carburetor Tips can help you get them running and keep them running smoothly for years.
Thank you for considering my book.
