Are you
allowing pedophiles to work with children in your church?
If you are doing nothing to
stop them, then the answer may be, ”yes!”

“Jack” came to
my agency and applied to be a mentor for children referred through social
service and mental health agencies. He was 62, retired from a factory and
active in visiting children on a cancer unit at a major hospital. He had
experience working with children in his church and with Boy Scouts. He was a
member of a local service organization. He was married and had one grown
son. He said he sponsored children in other countries and had plans to visit
them. One of my trusted employees said she had worked for him for years and
he was a really nice guy. I interviewed him and did everything I was
supposed to do; criminal background check, reference check, etc.
Shortly after he started working for me, I got a call from a concerned
member of the community asking what I knew about him. I was told that he
was asked to leave the Boy Scouts, his church and the property of a public
school
district for improper conduct with children. In 2004 he plead guilty to
sexually abusing a child and is currently serving time in jail.
I did everything I thought I should do, but still hired a pedophile!
If it can happen to me, it can happen to you.
Thankfully, none of the children served by my agency were harmed in any way.
But the potential in that situation still haunts me.

Are you doing a criminal background check
locally? Nationally? Jack passed! He had never been convicted of a crime.
That is what you get from a criminal background check, whether or not
someone has been convicted of a crime.
What did I miss?
I discovered the secret weapon that will make applicants walk away
from an interview and never contact you again!
You will be amazed to discover how well this technique works!
How long will it take your church to develop a program from scratch?
Some churches spend 18 months or more trying to put a program in place.
That is too long!
If you don’t have a comprehensive child safety program in place, your
children and your church are at risk every time you sponsor an activity.
What Are You Risking?
The safety and well being of the children who have been entrusted to your care
The reputation of your workers who could be subject to false
allegations
The reputation of your church in your community
Your church's valuable resources
Imagine picking up the local paper and seeing a member of your congregation
with a headline that reads, “Local Youth Pastor Pleads Guilty to Abusing
Teens.”
It happened in our community in the past few weeks!
Don’t think it can happen to you?
Think again!
For the first time
ever, you can immediately download: Protecting
Church & Child: The
Complete Child Abuse Prevention System
(If you have never downloaded an eBook
before, don't worry we'll walk you through it!)
A major publishing house began offering a
similar program last year for $90.00!
For the next 30 days, I am offering this complete manual for only $14.95. I
believe in this project and desperately want to get it into the hands of as
many churches as possible!
A few forms and a criminal
background check are not enough!
Believe me, I am speaking from painful experience.
Learn how to avoid making the mistake I did.
This
system provides all you need
to start a church safety program…
NOW!
March 27, 2005, San Diego Union – Tribune:
“The Roman Catholic Diocese of Stockton has agreed to pay $3.6 million
to settle claims by two victims molested by a Lodi priest…”
Think this is just a Catholic problem? You can go to htpp://www.reformation.com/
and read newspaper articles detailing how 838 protestant ministers
molested children in their churches.
Of the roughly 350,000 churches in the United States, only 5 percent are
Roman Catholic. More Protestant churches mean more potential for abuse.
The Christian Science Monitor (author Mike Clayton) reports that, “most
American churches that are being hit with child-abuse allegations are
Protestant and most of the alleged abusers are not clergy, but church
volunteers.”
He also reports that findings of a survey done by Christian Ministry
Resources concluded that the pace of child-abuse allegations against
American churches has averaged 70 per week during the past decade.
Still think it can’t happen to you?
How many incidents go unreported? This number is likely too low!
A 1994 National Institute of Health survey of 453 pedophiles showed
these criminals were collectively responsible for molesting over 67,000
children! That is an average of 148 children per pedophile.
Recent headlines report child sexual abuse being uncovered in Amish
and Mennonite communities, as well.
Do you really believe it can’t happen in your church?
Will pretending it only exists in other churches make you safe?
Pedophiles look for organizations that
are lax in screening children’s workers and monitoring adult contact
with children.
Most major child oriented organizations have strict screening
procedures in place; The Boys and Girls Club, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, etc.
Most churches do little if anything to screen out pedophiles. So where do
you think pedophiles will go to access children?
As a person who has some influence in your church, how can you continue to
pretend that it won’t happen to you and do nothing?
Do you have children or grandchildren in your church or in another church
who are in a dangerous situation? Are staff being screened? Are staffing
levels adequate?
Child sexual abuse can ruin a person for life! Believe me, I see the effects
every day. No one really ever “gets over it.”
How can you risk your church’s assets? Is yours the one church that has more
than enough money to defend a lawsuit?
Do your think your insurance company will cover the cost of a law suit?
WRONG. They will not cover any costs of a criminal prosecution. You and your
church budget are on your own.
How much would you pay to make pedophiles walk away from your church and
never return and ask to work with children?
How much is too much to pay for peace of
mind?
To protect your children from being harmed in the worst possible
way?
To protect the limited resources your church has to pay the bills and
reach out to your community?
To prevent a front page headline in your local paper that announces
to the world that a child has been molested in your church?
Do you think anyone who reads that headline
will forget which church in their community allowed a pedophile to have
access to children, even if it is a false accusation?
Protecting Church
and Child: The Complete Child Abuse Prevention System gives
you everything you need to protect the children of your church from abuse,
the adults in your church from false allegations, your church's
resources from lawsuits, and your church’s reputation in your
community.
By following the step by step process in my book, it is virtually impossible
for a pedophile to gain access to children in your church.
By adhering to the staffing guidelines, no one can make a credible false
allegation against a church worker.
It’s simple. If pedophiles cannot gain access to children in your church,
and your staffing levels prevent false allegations, and injury to children,
then you cannot be sued and your church’s reputation cannot be
damaged!
And most importantly, a child will not be hurt!
You have to get your church on board to make the program work. Learn how to
educate them and gain their support. If you are the only one concerned about
abuse in your church, the program will never happen.
Release forms may not prevent a lawsuit, but wouldn’t it be nice to
have one with the parent’s signature to wave in front a jury if the parent
claims they did not give permission for their child to participate in an
event?
You can prevent problems in your youth group with a list of
guidelines that target this particular population. If youth adhere to
them and staff enforce them, you are much less likely to have issues that
may put staff and youth at risk.
Helping your congregation get past the myths about pedophiles will make them
more aware of the danger of sexual abuse in your church.
Do you want to find yourself explaining to a parent or a judge how a toddler
was injured as one of 10 or 15 children in the care of one adult? By
adhering to the most conservative staffing ratios accidents can be
prevented.
Not enough staff? Learn how to maintain
safety, even in a small church.
Every time you interview a volunteer, you can be sure the same questions are
asked in the same order with the interview flow chart.
By using one very important technique, pedophiles will walk away from
your interview and not return. Believe me, I have interviewed people who
never contact me again. Others claim something came up that will prevent
them being able to work in the position they applied for. It’s amazing the
excuses you will hear!
The important thing is, you presented a hurdle they could not get over to
access your children!

My Mentoring Program to help you reach children in your church who come
without the support of an adult.
Why do you need this program in your church? Let me tell you a true story:
Two children attended a local church.
Their mother was grossly obese and seldom left the house. Those who
knew the brother and sister described them as very intelligent, but
socially delayed. They did well academically in school, but did not
have any friends. They came to church in the van every Sunday, but
never really connected with anyone. Eventually, they just quit
attending.
When the girl was sixteen years old, her mother died. The loss was too
much for her. Shortly after her mother’s death, she took her own life.
She had no one to turn to. No one to talk to. No one to help ease her
suffering.
The church missed it. One who was hurting so much just slipped away,
because no one cared enough to get to know her.
The kids who attend your church without an adult, are likely in a difficult
situation at home. They need someone to care about them. Someone to listen.
Someone to help ease their pain.
And isn’t that what a church is called to do?
My Mentoring program is a step by step plan to get your congregation
involved with the most forgotten members of your church.
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, contact me and
I will gladly refund 100% of your money! Keep the free software as my
gift to you, just for trying my program.
