For many, many years science has known that in human beings certain brainwave patterns correspond to different mental abilities and different mental states.

During the waking day, we are predominantly in what is called a beta brain wave pattern  -  the pattern of normal waking consciousness. Now that you have some background on this exciting technology, here's a bit more of the research: During the summer of 1998, Dr. Vincent Giampapa, M.D., head of Longevity Institute International, and former President of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, tested users of binaural technology to measure changes in the levels of two bio-markers related to a long life, stress-relief, and well-being.  These bio- markers are called cortisol and DHEA.

According to Dr. Giampapa, cortisol is the major age-accelerating hormone within the brain. It also interferes with learning and memory and is, in general, bad for your health and your well-being. 

DHEA, on the other hand, is a good guy, it is source ingredient, to virtually every hormone your body needs and is a buffer against stress-related hormones (such as cortisol). • Cortisol – the bad guy-  was down an average of 46.47%, with positive changes in 68% of the subjects. Several showed decreases of 70 or 80%!
